Intercession is fundamental in mission
work. We cannot do anything, face any battles, nor celebrate a victory without
prayer. In the ministry with the fishermen we have experienced the protection,
direction, and absolute control of our Eternal Father who is always attentive
to the cry of His children.
Because we fully believe in the efficiency of prayer, we invite you to join us,
on the 29th June, to cry out in favour of the folk who live along the coasts of
rivers and islands of our country.
Missionaries, volunteers, churches, supporters, fishermen, children, adults,
from North to South, will dedicate a special time of intercession so that the
Glory of the Lord might extend along Brazilian waters.
• Plan a
time of prayer with your family to pray specifically for EMAF
• If you lead a ministry, gather your group for prayer for the fishermen. On the website www.meap.org.br you can obtain photos and other information to share on this day.
• Suggest to the pastor of your church, that a special moment be set apart to
cry out for the salvation of the fishermen, or even hold a meeting with
emphasis on this ministry.
• Perhaps you would like to have a representative of EMAF visit you on this day

along the Fields:
EMAF Amapá - This field has initiated the Doce
Lar (Sweet Home) Project – educational activities for the children and
adolescents; Health and Life - teams of professional health volunteers and
evangelists who care for the physical needs of the people and proclaim the
Gospel. We are building an educational centre that will be the next EMAF base
in Afuá with the purpose of planting 10 churches in 10 communities of that
region.
EMAF Bahia - The partnership with the Baptist
Convention of Bahia has made it possible to plant various churches over the 20
years of EMAF ministry in this State. Taking relief to the people along the
coast was established by means of Day Care Centres, health attendance on the
boat clinic, and the building of more dignified homes through the Cement
Project. Proclaiming the Gospel of Grace for the Glory of the Father through
acts of love, is the mark of EMAF BA's ministry.
EMAF Maranhão - We have churches planted in
various communities along the coast of Parnaiba. In January we initiated a new
operational base at Tutóia to reach 20 more villages in the region. We
developed, in this field, the Projeto Meu Peixinho (My Little Fish Project) -
complementary activities to school activities and we have a sports court used
to practise sports and for evangelism. More missionaries - this is our greatest
need at EMAF MA.
EMAF São Paulo – The base at Ariri reaches the
extreme South of the coast of São Paulo to the boundary with Paraná. The church
planted in this village has native leadership and is being strengthened through
discipleship. The results of the sports projects and construction of houses
cooperative is noticeable in the development of the community. We are involved
in the evangelization of the most remote villages of the region.
