Ilha Grande - Camamú Region
Pr. Abraão and Cleo visited the area and, together with
missionaries, Reginaldo and Márcia Menezes, coordinated the first health team
on the island. Reginaldo continued the work, planting a church, followed by a
couple sent by the First Baptist Church at Jequié, who worked there for four
years. Presently the Metropolitan Baptist Chruch of Salvador assumed the
leadership of the congregation. We are building a Christian Living Centre in
order to attend to the needs of young people and adolescents on the island.

Taipú -
Camamú Region
The Jerusalem Baptist Church has assumed the work with Pr.Jucelino and family
being responsible for the ministry. We are finishing the temple at Taipú. Pr.
Jucelino assists also at Campinho.

Barcelos do
Sul
After a research of the field, Pr. Abraão and Cleo initiated the
evangelization, followed by missionaries Reginaldo and Márcia. After planting
the church, a couple of labourers, sent by the Baptist Church at Salvador,
assumed the work for 5 years. EMAF maintains a Day Care Centre there, attending
to needy children and their families.

Boipeba
The ministry was initiated by Pr. Jailson Santana and grew under the leadership
of Pr. Raimundo Gonçalves and the local church is linked to the First Baptist
Church of Valença. EMAF maintains a Day Care Centre at Boipeba that attends to
needy children, and a court where sports activities take place to reach the
adolescents and adults.

Cairú
The Sinai Baptist Church in Salvador is responsible for the Congregation at
Cairú. Other communities in this region are reached, Canavieiras, Tourrinha,
Tapuias and Itiúca, where we there have been some conversions and baptisms. We have built
temples at Canavieiras and Tapuias.
Cassumba Complex

Near the Abrolhos cluster, at the extreme south of Bahia, we find the
island of Cassumba among other islands. After a detailed research, the couple,
Pr. Raimundo and Jesileide, were sent to the region in 1998, to establish
various preaching points and a centre for literacy classes in a community
called "Francisca Lopes". At present there is no literacy course,
because the Government keeps a launch to transport students to Caravelas.
Today, the couple, Israel and Rosália, lead the work on the islands and visit 4
islands every week (from Tuesday to Saturday): Francisca Lopes, Calabouço, Ilha
do Padre and Tererê, assisting the converts of the islands. Rosália has taught art work to the women.
Itinerant Work

The mssionary couple, Christian and Doris, have given voluntary help to
various islands weekly (Acoral, Tanques, Ponta de Caieiras, Boca do Rio, Ambar,
Aldeia Velha) evangelizing and giving spiritual assistance and material to many
fishermen families, placing their boat at the disposal of the mission work.
They count on the help of mssionary, Hanne, who is a nurse.
