The story of preaching the Gospel among the
fishermen of Amapá is mixed with your story of participation in this
ministry.Thank you so much for cooperating with this labour of love. You can share
this ministry with others, challenging them to become involved as you have done
- praying and contributing financially.
EMAF AMAPÁ
At the end of the second millenium, EMAF had
already extended from the southeastern coast to the State of Maranhão, lacking
only one more region to reach the initial goal of proclaiming the glory of God
along the coast of Brazil ... Amapá.
After years of prayer, planning and concrete
actions, in January 2006 EMAF thrust
a stake into Amapá ground. God separated Pr. Custódio and his family for the
work of reaching out to the riverside people. Other people were sent by Him to
establish an Administrative Council.
JUNE 2006
The First Health & Life Promotion team
formed by five health professionals and six pastors and evangelists visited the
municipalities of Vitoria do Jari and Jarilandia.
MARCH 2007
Education training administered by Pr. Antonio Paulo/professor and Ana
Lucia/journalist in Monte Dourado (PA), Tartarugalzinho, Macapá, and Bailique
in Amapá.
JULY 2007
With the Amapá Baptist Convention and the
National Missions Junta we took part in the TransAmapá, an evangelistic impact
responsible for the riverside area, thereby initiating the Baptist church at
Afuá and a preaching point at Bailique where there is an EMAF base and a Church
of Christ today.
2008
We inaugurated the KOINONYA I donated by
brother Aguinaldo Cajaiba. With the boat we extended the social assistance
service and consolidation of the churches.
ADVANCED BASE - AFUÁ
2010 - With the KOINONYA II we amplified the work in
the Afua region, side by side with other churches.
In partnership with the People Chruch we
began a new dream - the construction of a place to give support to churches and
the riverside population.
On September 30th we inaugurated the
structure of the Afuá Base - Life Centre - that will serve the Project 10 -
Save Marajó, the planting of ten churches in communities without the
Gospel.
