We held a campaign with the students of the Sweet Home Project, in Afuá/PA, to put together a food basket for a very needy familty.
The children had the opportunity to contribute with whatever food they could. It was not obligatory, seeing as many live in homes that are needy as well. Their enthusiasm was encouraging. They helped with what they had and this resulted in a good amount.
The day arrived to deliver the basket and we gave it to a lady who, alone, cares for many children. One of her granddaughters went to pick up the basket, because her grandmother was sick.
The children, even having little at home, learned the value of what the Holy Scriptures teach us:
"It is better to give than to receive". Acts 20.35
