WHERE?

On the islands and in the communities of the Delta do Parnaíba: Canárias, Torto, Caiçara, Passarinho, Morro do Meio e Ilha Grande dos Paulinos. 

 

WHAT FOR?

Due to the difficult access to the islands of the Delta do Parnaíba they don’t receive dental assistance, the inhabitants need to go to the city, having a very high cost. With this, when they are with toothache, many opt to remove the tooth in an artisan form, and because of this many adults and elderly folk suffer lack of teeth.

To change this reality we want to attend, regularly, the children of our educational program - My \Little Fish, as well as all the inhabitants of the islands that are in need of urgent dental assistance, during the days of action. 

 

HOW MANY TO REACH?

5.000 persons who live in 8 distant communities.

 

WHEN?

January 2024. 

 

HOW?

We assist every three months with a team made up of dentists and voluntary assistants. We will do it each time we are in a community, assisting all of them systematically. Our goal is preventive assistance for the children and the restoration procedures and surgeries (extraction) for all the community. 

 

WHAT DO WE HAVE?

- A team of 06 voluntary dentists that assist, with a borrowed movable chair, that isn’t always at our disposal.  

- R$ 2.200,00 (two thousand two hundred reais), value acquired through offerings, until now.

 

WHAT DO WE NEED?

R$ 15.000,00 for the acquisition of the chair
