WHERE?
Comunities of Torto and Caiçara, in the Delta do Parnaíba/PI.
WHAT FOR?
Take advantage of the natural resources of the region and the artistic ability of the people of the villages to generate family income. The last course we had was painting on cloth. One of the fifteen women is making beautiful dish towels and selling them in the Community.
WHAT OUTREACH?
Presently, about thirty women, between the ages of 10 and 60, take part in the activities.
WHEN?
Every Saturday the group meets to work. We also promote specific courses, sporadically, twice a year.
TEAM
Three very able missionaries, work with the project.
WHAT DO WE HAVE?
The EMAF base structure in two communities. Partnership with SENAR – National Service for Rural Learning.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
More volunteers for the sporadica courses.
Financial resources to buy materials.
