There is not way of access to the village of Caiçara by boat. The canal there is too shallow, and a quad bike would ease the transport and make the work of the missionareis easiereven during the muddy seasons of rain, since the journeys between villages are long.
WHERE?
Comunidades de Caiçara, on the Delta do Parnaíba.
WHAT FOR?
There is no possibility of access to the village of Caiçara by boat. The canal there is too shallow. So it is necessary to go to Canárias, by boat and from there go on to Caiçara crossing the island. A quad bike would make the journey and the work of the missionairies easier, since the trips between villages are long. It will also help the Community with immediate help and other needs.
WHAT OUTREACH?
Instrument for the work of the missionaries who will benefit about 69 families, since the vehicle will serve the population.
WHEN?
The missionaries travel to the town, Every fifteen days, making weekly trips between the neighbouring villages and daily to make visits and hold meetings in the homes, since some of them are far away, about thirty minutes walk.
HOW?
The quad bike will stay at the Caiçara base at the disposition of all the missionaries that live there.
WHAT DO WE HAVE?
The structure of the EMAF bases in two communities. Partnership with SENAR – National Service for Rural Apprenticeship .
WHAT DO WE NEED?
A semi-new quad bike 4x4.
