A FISHERMAN’S STORY
On “Good Friday”, women from Ilha Santa Bárbara/MA baked cakes and served them in their houses to whoever would come and eat. According to the inhabitants, this ancient tradition is done in demonstration of gratitude to God for the death of Christ. During the morning, children, adolescents and some adults walk through the village lookingfor the houses that are offering the cakes.
Friday has gone. It is Sunday!!!
Jesus is alive and has manifested His LIFE in Santa Bárbara. Mamy now, celebrate Easter, not only because of traditions, but because they have experienced the Grace of the ressurrected Christ.
