Besides fishing, the Riverside folk hunt for their subsistance (legal practice for the traditional people of the Amazon). As they live in different areas, along the river banks, lakes and rivers, there are places where the game is scarce.

Many times, to hunt, the Riverside folk need to go hours, and even the whole day, to solid ground, where they set up a camp and stay until they acquire what they need, and that can take many days.
