FEBRUARY REPORT 2020
This was the theme chosen for EMAF 2020/2021, after much thought about the acts of God, for the salvation of the world, and about our purpose of existence, we are challenged and encouraged by the Lord to go forth firmly in the fulfilment of His calling, where we are and where He wants to take us.
It doesn’t matter the circumstances! If in tribulation or peace, if in wealth or need, in time or out of time, being many or few, we work to take forth the Good News to those who have never heard. “Make Christ known through the preaching of the Gospel, and acts of justice and mercy” is our mission. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Oh give thanks unto the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples." Psalm 105.1
Living this commitment, the actions on the firelds are already ‘sailing in leaps and bounds’.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ New missionaries are arriving. The first months are a time of adaptation for the families in the place and ministry. To have the team stengthened is a blessing that we encourage and enforce.
Our eyes have been lifted to the Rio Juruá. In the first semestre we hope to conclude the research in the communities of this river to establish the first EMAF base there, in the second semestre.
Our hands will take on the construction of multifunctional temples that will be built in all the EMAF areas, housing churches that have been planted in the communities, in the past years. We plan to initiate six constructions in the next few months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All our work and all the members of this team are set on the mission of making Christ known among the artesan fishermen and Riverside folk of Brazil. Our goal is to go forth until all, in every place, even the most distant, have the opportunity to hear.
